How Do I Get Money For Being A Male Model? And How Much Pay Should A Male Model Expect On Average?
ByI am a poor college student around the Chicago area and I need to make some money. I know that people make good money modeling for all kinds of things and that good models are not a dime-a-dozen.
I don’t mean this to be vain, but I think I do have a body that is suited for modeling. Even compared to models that I see in magazines I think I have a comparable body. I am about 5′11” 185, muscle everywhere, low body fat, ripped abs etc… (drug-free bodybuilder type) again, I don’t mean to sound vain, I just want to know how I can cash in on my body type, which I consider to be a rare commodity. I never intended to try and look good to become a model, my body is just a result of my years of training as a fighter, but I know that I can also get paid for how I look. All I need to know is how??
I have tried to research it myself but I don’t have any money for an agent or anything, I have no money to invest in it, that’s the whole reason I want to do this, to MAKE money. I also don’t have time to do this like a career. I am a busy guy as it is, and to be honest I am not the least bit interested in becoming a professional model. If such a place exists that I can just show up, get my picture taken and take home some cash for it, that would be great!
Can somebody help me out? There has got to be places that are looking for people like me without making me invest before I get paid… right? HELP ME YAHOO ANSWER PEOPLE!!

You sound to be suited as a model.
Don’t go to an agent, let an agent come to you. You are most likely to find a scum agent who will burn holes in your pocket. Try entering competitions…get some magazines.
And as for the cash, it’s not all that easy….at first you may get a photoshot here and there..get a hundred bucks here and there…then you might be out of jobs for a while. Thats the modelling world, unless you get eyed on by a particular client who wants you to shot for so and so…then you may be getting onto something and make a few big bucks.
Also, it’s not just show up and get your pics taken, modeling esp for a man is hard work, you need to be confident, have attitude and give them personality.

umm if ur a college student i wouldnt try it. it is going to cost like 600 to get your face shots and everything you need. then its not a very secure job. you just have to wait to be called. its pretty boring… you could make about 600 an hour but prob a lot less. it really depends who you are working for.
